Tourism
From 1991-92 to 1996-97, about 5200 tourists visited the National Park area per year.

Highways Tow P.W.D road namely Dudhwala-Gauriphant and Dhudhwal Chandan chauki pas through the National Park while the Mailiani-Bhira-Palia road passes through the Reserve.

Diseases
None

Encroachment
There is an old encroachment of 61.01 ha. At Gol Bhojhi of a Taungya village and some very minor old encroachments. Besides, there is a village called Surma, also classified as an encroachment. Of the 93 families in the village, 24 have been rehabilitated. Effort are on to rehabilitate the remaining families out of the Reserve. The area involved in this encroachment is about 215 ha.

Othes :
Weeds
Some of the grassland are infested with the weed., Cymbopogan martini. Dense mats of tiliacora species, another weed, have developed in large portion of the Sal forest. These weeds are inedible and are spreading reapidly, making the affected areas inhospitable for herbivores.

Railways
The Palia-dudhwa-Belreyien section of Gonda-Bareilly railways line passes through the National park. It also passes through the Sanctuary between Bhira and Mailani.

Smuggling
Some smuggling activity occurs across the international border.
